BellyPic - 30 Sept 2009

took some pix in the afternoon today and there was not much changes from the last pic at all. decided there was no kick, reshoot some photos earlier when belly was fuller. :) but honestly, there still isnt much diff from the pic although i'm feeling much rounder.

Cant wait to see you!

16 weeks scan

Dr Cheng said bb's not in a photogenic position so there was no scan given during our last checkup. Luckily we videoed the scan and I was able to extract a relatively decent looking scan of our beecub. No measurements cuz bb's side profile was not facing us and it would be hard to get an accurate CRL measurement.

I also manually counted 15 beats in 5 secs, so that translates to about 180 beats per minute.. :)

angelsounds fetal doppler

OK, i've done it. I've made a purchase over Ebay for a fetal doppler (about SGD50). It is just too agonizing to wait 4 weeks before seeing the cub or hearing the heartbeat. After going through the ordeal of losing 2 prior pregnancies, this will be the best assurance for me.

LISTEN AND RECORD YOUR BABY'S HEARTBEAT AT HOME!

Angelsounds is a wonderful gift for all expectant mothers in the world! With this device, you can hear the prenatal baby's activity as of the first movements of your baby in your belly. From the twelfth week of pregnancy, the sounds of hiccups, kicks, blows and even heartbeats can be heard. These marvelous sounds will bring you closer your coming baby!

Angelsounds is a safe apparatus to humans (including the unborn baby), which allow you, your honey or your friends to be pleased to listen to the baby's sounds in comfort.

Thanks to the recording cable, you will be able to record the baby's sounds to a cassette, a CD, or directly store to your PC, your cell phone, your Ipod/ MP3. You can even send these sound files to your friends via email to share your happiness with them! These wonderful sound files will also be an invaluable remembrance to your unborn baby one day when he grows up!

Angelsounds can be used singly and also transmit the fetal heart signal to the Remote Central Monitoring System in hospital through ordinary monitoring telephone to provide diagnosis for doctors, enjoying the hospital experts' diagnostic services at home!

Besides, Angelsounds can also be used to record the mother's own heartbeat and play it back to the newborn for a calming effect!

What will your baby's sounds like? Your baby's heart beats 120-160 times a minute and will sound like a rapidly galloping horse. Her hiccups will sound like 2 rapid drumbeats, and her kicks will sound like soft thuds. You will also hear the nutrients passing through the placenta by using this amazing device.

shedding fur (hair)

i remember when gigi was pregnant, she started shedding lotsa lotsa fur everywhere, huge huge clumps of white cotton fluffs were all over my floor.. sure, animals go through hormonal changes too. her glorious mane of fur around her neck was totally gone. botak. makes me shudder to think of the same happening to me. dunno why lotsa preggie women go cut their hair before they pop or after. hope i wont have the same impulse for i know i'd be sure to regret it..

changes in the belly button and other musings..

i remember the first few weeks after i knew i was pregnant, my belly button became so deep that i could not see the bottom of it. it looked like a dark dark hole that knew no end. and now? i'm starting to see the ends of it.. and i think eventually it will pop out!! quite scary to just think about it! but it'll be easier to clean dont ya think? haha..

pink or blue? we said we wanted it to be a surprise initially.. and now? the suspense is killing me. cuz the tiny outfits and accessories are simply too irresistable and cute! i would look at the pink doll-like dresses and it would stir up some fuzzy warm feelings.. boy's stuff have always been a tad more boring.. :P

isnt this adorable?

its from My Miracle Baby

this website Vellerinababy also has lotsa cute stuff that i would like to buy the minute i know if its pink or blue :)

feeling blessed

to have a hubby who is just involved in our beecub, helps research the best stroller, cot.. and even breastpump! i honestly think he knows more than me - price wise :P cant imagine a hubby who isnt supportive, bochap about the whole thing and nonchalent..

i'm pretty confident he'd be a great dad, helping out wherever he can when our little one arrives.. :)

thanks dear, *MUAAAACKZ*!

Beecub on 23 Sept 2009

beecub's position was not ideal for measuring CRL (crown-to-rump) and its backside was wedged right into my right groin, so cannot see in-between-the-legs ;) but it was moving and waving about so all's good :)

detailed scan is 20 Oct. cannot wait!!!

bubbling.. fluttering... popcorn bursting... swishing and swashing?

yeah.. i believe it started 4 days ago. was not very sure but it was the same consistent area on the lower left belly. at times, just one or two prods.. other times, it was a flurry buzz of activity.

it has to be IT :)

seeing gynae tomorrow, yeah!

from another angle

some of the mommies from the forum commented that the belly looked sharp! which means high chances of it being a boy! heh.. mom also said it looked sharp.. oh well.. cant buy those pretty headbands now.. mebbe i'll look at caps instead :P

subtle changes

without the photos, i really wouldnt have noticed the changes in the belly. the growth has been very subtle and sometimes its really not that big especially first thing in the morning. it usually starts to bloat by night time. as u can see, the tummy droops lower and its not so round overall..

yesh, i must be mad.. i actually went to trace out the curvature :P i wonder if i'll be boliao enuff to repeat all these documentation again for the 2nd kid :P

the cutoff points was almost similar in all 3 photos but yet the droop was obvious.. hmm.. creepy..

all's good :)

the clinic called earlier and nurse said bub was in the 'low-risk, L-O-W risk category' so nothing to worry.. she even spelt it out for me in case i heard it wrongly. :)

so glad and relieved...

even if bub had risks of being a DS baby.. there's no way i'm removing it.. it is still our child no matter what and i've grown too attached to it to let it go..

my beecub, stay healthy and strong inside my tumtum k? daddy and i shall give u lotsa hugs and kisses on 11 march next yr! :)

Belly Pic - 12 weeks 6 days

By original dates, i should be only 12 weeks 1 day.. but as the bb grows, the EDD will be adjusted. afterall the CRL is only a rough estimation. So from our last scan, my EDD is changed to 11 March 2010 instead of 16th March, which means i gained another 5 days. :)

so here's another belly pic. not much diff huh?
